CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA), Per Diem

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the CNA is responsible for personal care services to patients in the home according to a written Plan of Care. The CNA is also expected to provide and maintain bodily and emotional comfort and to assist patients to achieve maximum quality of life. The CNA will be responsible for serving Pendleton, Oregon and surrounding areas. Must be able to be licensed in Washington and Oregon state. Competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 - $25.33.


PRIMARY CARE RN (Full Time)

Responsible for identifying patient and family needs and for providing supportive care in accordance with the attending physician’s orders and plan of care and the policies and procedures of Walla Walla Community Hospice. Must support interdisciplinary team concept of caring for patient/family and be able to work as part of a team. This is a full-time position with competitive hourly wage range of $32.45 - $47.59.


PER DIEM RN

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Per Diem Nurse works under the general direction of the Patient Care Coordinator, the attending physician and the interdisciplinary group in providing skilled nursing assessments, planning, and care in order to maximize the comfort and health of both WWCH patients and their loved ones/caregivers. Competitive hourly wage range of $34.07 - $49.96.

This position should be available to work on call and:

  • on weekends when needed

  • provide extra support to the primary on-call nurse when needed (due to increased census or high call volumes)

  • cover callouts and help cover vacations for nursing staff

  • cover extended sick leave.

FLOAT NURSE (Full Time)

A Hospice Float Nurse (RN) is a professional in charge of providing care, comfort, and support to clients/families navigating the difficult time at the end of life. The Float Nurse will be utilized to support the Primary Nurses and assist with hospice admissions, coverage for vacations and illnesses, imminent visits (SIA), death visits, information sessions, referral management back-up, and after-hours coverage. The Float Nurse works under the general direction of the Patient Care Coordinator, the attending physician, Medical Director, and the interdisciplinary group.  Must support interdisciplinary team concept in providing skilled nursing assessments, planning, and care to maximize the comfort and health of both Walla Walla Community Hospice (WWCH) patients and their loved ones/caregivers.  This is a full time position with competitive hourly wage range of $32.64 - $41.63.

This position should be available to work:

  • Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday – Thursday

  • On-Call/After-hours and  weekends when needed

  • provide extra support to the primary on-call nurse when needed (due to increased census or high call volumes)

  • cover callouts and help cover vacations or illnesses for nursing staff

  • cover Referral Triage Nurse during vacation or illnesses


VOLUNTEER & CAMP AMANDA COORDINATOR (Part Time)

The Volunteer and Camp Amanda Coordinator is responsible for delivery of volunteer related services and Camp Amanda coordination at Walla Walla Community Hospice (WWCH) in close collaboration with other professionals, volunteers, and bereaved in accordance with the hospice philosophy of care. Hourly wage range of $20.00-24.00


HOSPICE ADMINISTRATOR (Full-Time)

The Hospice Administrator oversees all aspects of Walla Walla Community Hospice (WWCH) care program including patient care, talent management, fiscal management, community relations,  and regulatory compliance. The Administrator is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of WWCH in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Administrator must be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, create and execute on strategic planning efforts that aligns with WWCH mission and vision, and hold a strong understanding of hospice care. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors. Competitive wage range: $95,000-$130,000


RN CLINICAL SUPERVISOR, HOSPICE (Full Time)

As a member of the leadership team, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical activities of the patient care team including nurses, social workers, spiritual support coordinators and hospice aides. Oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of patient/family care in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory standards in collaboration with the Medical Director and Hospice Administrator. Ensure care delivery meets the comfort and dignity of the patient and is consistent with the patient/family needs and goals by ensuring all available resources are utilized. Position requires nursing licensure in Washington and Oregon State. Competitive annual wage range of $75,000 - $95,000.


SPIRITUAL SUPPORT COUNSELOR (Per Diem)

The Chaplain/Spiritual Support Counselor is responsible for delivery of spiritual related services at Walla Walla Community Hospice in close collaboration with other professional and volunteer staff in accordance with the hospice philosophy of care. This requires thorough knowledge of the predominate religions of the area; the ability to work cooperatively with all religious representatives; the ability to represent Walla Walla Community Hospice in a positive manner to the religious community; the ability to prepare records and reports; the ability to work with patients form all religious backgrounds in an ecumenical manner; and the ability to work effectively with Walla Walla Community Hospice staff, professional counterparts, community contacts and groups. Competitive hourly wage range of $24.08 - $31.25.


ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Responsible to Executive Director for federal and state regulatory compliance, organizational policies and procedures, advising management on possible risks, oversees safety and quality assurance program, HIPAA compliance serving as privacy officer, human resources onboarding and employee development, internal controls, monitoring and achievement of the organization’s mission. This is a full-time position with competitive hourly wage range of $30.00 - $44.70.


After Hours ON CALL RN (Full time)

Responsible for providing skilled assessment, nursing, and supportive care in accordance with plan of care and physician’s orders. Be available via beeper to respond to calls from patients and/or families. This care is in accordance the policies and procedures of Walla Walla Community Hospice. Competitive salary range of $88,000 - $131,120.


LPN

A Hospice Nurse is a professional in charge of providing care, comfort and support to clients navigating the difficult time at the end of their lives. The LPN is responsible for identifying patient/family needs, coordinating services and providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill and their families in accordance with approved Care Plans and Hospice policies and procedures. The LPN functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team under the supervision of the Clinical Nursing Supervisor, R.N. and physician. Competitive hourly wage range of $28.00 - $41.72


REFERRAL & TRIAGE NURSE

Responsible for organization of the daily hospice team assignment, processing referral information, ordering supplies, triage patient phone calls, and other duties as assigned by Patient Care Coordinator or designee. Must support interdisciplinary team concept and be able to work as part of a team. Competitive hourly wage range of $32.00 - $47.68.


COMMUNITY OUTREACH & MARKETING

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of Walla Walla Community Hospice community education, outreach, educational, and fundraising events. This position is accountable to the Executive Director. Competitive hourly wage range of $26.00 - $38.74.


SOCIAL WORKER

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker works under the general direction of the Patient Care Coordinator, the interdisciplinary team, and demonstrates the ability to work effectively with Hospice staff, professional counterparts, community contacts, and groups in order to maximize the comfort and health of patients and their families. Competitive hourly wage range of $25.00 - $37.25.


FINANCE CONTROLLER

The Financial Controller ensures the company's financial health by overseeing all financial planning and analysis activities. Responsible to the Executive Director for financial recordkeeping, report preparation, analyzing financial data, monitoring internal controls, financial reporting, billing preparation and follow-up, coordination of office information technology for the organization, accounts payable and receivable, evaluate and manage risk, and preparing income statements. Competitive hourly wage range of $28.00 - $41.72.
